Fitting Your Kickers

Firstly lets identify the kicker section you are going to tackle first remembering each length is a maximum of 2400mm.

Measure the length of the kicker starting at the end panel to the desired end location, and if in a corner cabinet you can go past the desired end for the next kicker to but into this one giving you a clean finish.

Now measure and mark the drilling positions for the fixings. Using your Sliding combination square measure the foot distance under the cabinet and tighten square. Then we need to wind this back a further 8mm and tighten again - this will be the position of your pre drilling for the kicker.

Next step is to mark these positions on the carcass base, insert kicker, pre drill and insert a 45mm screw and secure the fixing into position.

Work your way around the room using the same method, but remember to only measure and cut each kicker as you go to ensure a nice tight join.

A quick tip - if you do require a join in a kicker, use a small offcut and join from behind, but make sure the join does not fall in line with a foot of the cabinet.
