How to Install your Sink
For sink cabinet installation it's best to have one cabinet alongside the sink cabinet installed and fixed to the wall. Using your tape measure, establish the water and waste positions individually both vertically and horizontally not he wall and floor, then transferring these measurements to your sink cabinet.
Drill holes using the appropriate size as marked using your cross referenced measurements marked on the cabinet.
Slide or lift sink cabinet into position with the required plumbing and waste now inside your cabinet.
Fix cabinet to wall as per instructions from "Fixing Cabinets to Walls" guide.
Now we move to cutting out any sink and cooktop cut outs you may have.
Generally with these types of appliances there is a ‘cutout template’ in the box that indicates the exact size for you.
Place the template into your desired position and ensure you have the right clearances for rear splashbacks, taps, or any obstacles that may be underneath the bench tops.
While checking also ensure front and rear spacing is equal on both sides of the cutout.
Once you have marked the final position in pencil onto the benchtop, drill holes using the 10-12mm drill bit in the four corners on the inside of your marked appliance area. Then using your jigsaw cut out the template keeping in mind the weight of the cutout may fall. A good tip is to leave two diagonal areas not 100% cut and cut these last so you are prepared for the cutout to come out to avoid any damage to cabinets or others.
Remembering you appliance, once dropped into position will cover your cut out edge, but take your time in cutting to ensure a clean cut if you can.
