Upper Cabinet

Firstly remove the brown sliding caps on your cabinet - these indicate the top of the cabinet and requires the cabinet to be flipped upside down for installation.

When installing your upper cabinets the fixing process is the same as the base units. Having a second person to assist will also help holding the cabinet into position. If you are lining up the cabinet edge with a cabinet below, mark a pencil line using your level on the wall to establish the perfect position. With our 2304 height series cabinets the carcass top will line up with the marked height of 2304 from floor.

Using the marked wall stud lines you will be able to measure, mark and pre- drill holes in the correct positions with two in each stud, top and bottom - another handy step is placing a 65mm screw in the hole ready to fix. Please use alternative fixings for solid wall installation.

Once level and in the correct position screw into stud with a minimum of four wall fixings per single cabinet required. PLEASE NOTE: Wall mate fixings are not suitable as upper cabinet fixings but can be used to further support wall stud fixings.

When joining cabinets together use clamps and fixing procedures the same our as our Fixing cabinets together video.

Hardware stores do sell adjustable stands for upper cabinet installations and are very handy if you are working on your own during this step.
