Internal units are built using a specific Upright and Fixed Shelf methodology. This system provides the structural anchor for your wardrobe internals.
1. Assembly
Begin by connecting the two fixed shelves to the Drawer Upright Left and Drawer Upright Right.
- For Drawer Units: These fixed shelves provide the structural integrity for the drawer section.
- For Shelf Units: These are the two fixed shelves that lock your uprights in place.
2. Critical Positioning
Once the uprights and fixed shelves are connected, stand the unit up. Refer to your plans for the exact offset measurement from your side wall. Always measure from the wall to the outside of the upright to ensure your layout matches your custom design.
3. Leveling & Governing Width
Before fixing the unit to the wall or floor, use a spirit level to ensure the uprights are perfectly plumb.
Pro Tip: Insert your two adjustable shelves as high as possible between the uprights before you install the Top Shelf. These shelves "govern the width" of the unit, ensuring the uprights remain perfectly parallel so your drawers or shelves fit exactly as intended.
4. The Kicker & Finishing
Install the kicker at the base of the uprights. The kicker is the component with no edge tape. To maintain a professional finish, fix the kicker by screwing down through the bottom fixed shelf. This keeps the fixings hidden from view.
