How to Install: End Panels
An end panel provides the structural termination for your wardrobe when it does not sit between two walls.
1. Preparation & Placement
The end panel is secured to the rear wall using a provided aluminum U-Channel.
- Critical Measurement: Position your U-Channel exactly as per the width on your cut list. Correct placement is essential to ensure your sliding doors have the required overlap.
- Flushed Fit: Use a multi-tool to cut back your cornice and skirting boards. This allows the end panel to sit flush against the wall rather than being notched around the trim.
- U-Channel Fixings: Trim the U-Channel to fit. Since wall types vary (masonry vs. plasterboard), you will need to provide the appropriate wall plugs or anchors for your specific home.
2. Floor to Ceiling Scribing
Unless you have specifically purchased a "Robe Top" configuration, your end panel is designed to run from the floor to the ceiling.
- Why it’s Oversized: We provide the panel 100mm oversized so you can scribe (trim) it to the exact contours of your floor and ceiling.
- The "Run-Out" Check: Use a level to check for any floor or ceiling slope. Trimming the panel to account for this ensures the unit remains perfectly plumb while maintaining a gap-free finish.
3. Final Fitting
Once scribed to the correct height and angle, slide the panel into the U-Channel. This panel now serves as the anchor point for your internal uprights, top shelf, and tracks.
